IDF Soldier Injured in Jenin Raid

An  IDF soldier was lightly injured during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed a soldier had been injured during nightly raids in the Palestinian refugee camp of Jenin, in northern Samaria. During the operation, local militants threw firebombs and shot at IDF soldiers. The injured soldier was evacuated to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for treatment. His family has been notified. His condition has been described as not serious.

During nightly raids, the IDF and security forces arrested a total of nine wanted men, six of whom on suspicions of involvement in grass-roots terrorism and, violent mass disturbances against civilians and security forces. In Jenin itself and the Palestinian village of al-Hashmia, the army arrested three people, suspected of being operatives in the terrorist organization Hamas. All were transferred to the relevant authorities for further questioning.

The IDF Spokesperson additionally stated the army had raided the house of the terrorist who shot at the military pillbox stationed near the village of Aboud, northeast of Ramallah.

Israeli forces also stormed a weapons manufacturing workshop in the Hebron area, as part of a regional large scale operation.  The workshop included eight lathes which were all dismantled and seized.
