Jeremy Corbyn Challenged over Graveside Wreath-Laying for Munich Massacre Terrorists
UK Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn has been challenged over newly released pictures that confirm his attendance at the graves of terror leaders linked to the Munich Massacre.
The images, published by the Daily Mail, were taken during a service remembering Palestinian “martyrs” buried in a cemetery in Tunisia.
Among those interned at the cemetery visited by Mr. Corbyn is Atef Bseiso, who was head of intelligence for the PLO and was involved in the murder of 11 Israeli athletes and coaches as part of the infamous terrorist operation at the 1972 Munich Olympics. The visit came just 12 months after Mr. Corbyn assumed leadership of the Labour Party.
The pictures obtained by the Mail – and posted on the Facebook page of the Palestinian embassy in Tunisia – directly place Mr. Corbyn by the graves of Bseiso and the Black September leaders.
He is seen standing under a distinctive red canopy with a corrugated steel roof. This canopy runs alongside the graves of the Munich-linked men.
Mr Corbyn is clearly pictured holding a wreath and seemingly joining Islamic prayers by the distinctive plaque that honours a host of Palestinian terrorists.
As Breitbart Jerusalem reported, Mr. Corbyn stirred condemnation and disbelief from members of his own party when the trip was first revealed in May, 2017.
A column written by the Labour leader in October 2014 for the Communist Party newspaper Morning Star was cited as evidence he attended the ceremony in Tunisia “where wreaths were laid… on the graves of [those] killed by Mossad agents in Paris in 1991”. Mr Corbyn described the event as “poignant”. He wrote:
After wreaths were laid at the graves of those who died on that day and on the graves of others killed by Mossad agents in Paris in 1991, we moved to the poignant statue in the main avenue of the coastal town of Ben Arous, which was festooned with Palestinian and Tunisian flags.
There is no evidence or record of Mossad having conducted an assassination in Paris in 1991.
During the Middle East trip, the man seeking to be prime minister also attended a conference alongside members of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
“It beggars belief that anyone would wish to honour the terrorists behind the brutal massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at Munich,” Jennifer Gerber, director of Labour Friends of Israel, told the Mail.
“However, it is sadly utterly unsurprising that Jeremy Corbyn appears to have done so. Others will rightly regard it is as totally sickening.”
