Alex Clare’s Impromptu Concert at the Aish HaTorah World Center

The students of the Akiva Trip, run out of Aish Jerusalem, were treated to an impromptu concert featuring chart-topping superstar Alex Clare on the balcony of the Aish HaTorah building overlooking the Western Wall.

Alex Clare’s breakthrough song “Too Long” was the featured theme for Microsoft Explorer, and was listed on numerous “Top 10” charts across the globe. He is currently on sabbatical, studying in a Yeshiva in Jerusalem. As a guest speaker for Rabbi Klatzko’s Akiva Trip, Alex enthralled the visiting American college students with his journey to the top of the music world, followed by the challenges that faced him when the demands of the industry jeopardized his Shabbat observance.

Alex inspired the Akiva Trip with his soulful melodies as well as his commitment to Jewish values. Prioritizing holy and eternity over fleeting fame, Alex exemplified to the students the importance and role of Judaism in their lives, a lesson not soon forgotten.
