Written by Jonathan Benedek/TPS on December 10, 2015

There was a car-ramming attack earlier today near the Palestinian village of Al-Lubban, injuring four people. The attacker reportedly fled the scene and is was pursued by IDF forces shortly thereafter.

Two of the victims were wounded in their limbs with one in moderate to serious condition and the other in moderate condition. The two other victims are reportedly sustaining light injuries.

The victims were first treated by Magen David Adom medical teams and then transported to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.

Magen David Adom Paramedic David Trachtenberg released a statement upon his arrival at the scene of the attack: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw the victims on the side of the road, fully conscious and suffering from wounds in their limbs. They told us that they were struck by a car.”

Trachtenberg continued: “Our paramedics provided them with initial medical treatment. They were bleading and lying in pain and while receiving (initial) medical treatment, they were transported to Beilinson Hospital with one of the victims in moderate to serious condition and the rest of the victims in light to moderate condition.”

One of the victims suffering from moderate wounds was moved to the trauma room after arriving at Beilinson Hospital. One of the lightly injured victims is also reported to have arrived at the hospital.

Shortly after the attack, an IDF Spokesperson stated that “there was a suspected car-ramming attack next to (the Jewish community) of Beit Aryeh. Forces are currently in pursuit of the vehicle that fled the scene.”

Police and IDF forces have reportedly located the suspected vehicle used in the car-ramming attack. After searching the car, an M-16 firearm was discovered along with a tear gas grenade. Police and IDF forces in cooperation with the Israel Security Agency, are now in pursuit of the suspected attackers who apparently fled the vehicle.
