We can’t recycle sushi. We try not to recycle MCs. The Cheder Boys Choir doesn’t recycle songs. And of course we never recycle prizes! But this year we recycled books. A lot of books! Earlier in the school year, Cheder Menachem had crates of books that were outdated and in need of recycling. These lucky text books, dictionaries and thesauruses were cut, glued, shaped, folded, rolled and otherwise completely transformed into Pinterest-worthy creations into backdrops for this year’s prize tables. The one-of-a-kind displays set the tone for an elegant evening that helps raise money for scholarships in Cheder Menachem.
