Jerusalem, 21 April, 2022 (TPS) — The IDF Spokesman confirms that Israel Air Force fighter jets attacked a military post and the opening of a terrorist tunnel in the Gaza Strip during the early AM hours on Thursday (local time).

The attack was carried out in response to the launching of a rocket from the Gaza Strip toward the State of Israel on Wednesday night. No injuries were reported from that attack.

The tunnel that was bombed leads to a central underground structure where chemical raw materials used to make rocket engines are kept, explained the IDF.

The IDF stated that this attack caused “significant damage” to rocket production in the Gaza Strip.

This is the second time since the start of the Passover holiday last Friday night that a single rocket was launched from Gaza at targets in southern Israel. No one was harmed in either attack.

The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and any and all terrorist attacks that originate from there.
