Israeli team messaging startup Redkix is being acquired by Facebook, the company’s co-founders brothers Oudi and Roy Antebi said Thursday in a blog post. While details of the acquisition were not made public, the deal is believed to be worth some $100 million.
“We are excited to announce that we have agreed to be acquired by Facebook, where we’ll join the Workplace team to help connect people and give the world a place to work together. Our current application will wind down,” the Antebi brothers wrote.
Redix, founded in 2014, launched a beta version of its product last year which integrates group messaging and emails for organizations. The company previously raised $17 million in seed funding.
The acquisition is Facebook’s fifth in Israel following mobile app developer Snaptu for $70 million in 2011; facial recognition platform Face.com for $100 million in 2012, mobile data analytics company Onavo for $150 million in 2013 and computer vision augmented reality startup Pebbles for $60 million in 2015.
