Jerusalem, 15 November, 2021 (TPS) — Amir Hayek, the first Israeli ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, on Monday submitted his charter to the Vice President of the Emirates, the Prime Minister of the Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktum. “This is another milestone in our relationship,” said Israel’s new ambassador. “The economic, technological and political horizon that we draw together is important to us and the entire region.”

Ambassador Hayek takes up the post more than a year after the historic Abraham Accords were signed between Israel and the two Arab Gulf States the UAE and Bahrain. The Accords established peace and diplomatic ties between Israel and the two Arab nations.
