Five Pedestrians Wounded in Terror Ramming Attack Near Machaneh Yehudah Market

Five people were wounded, one very seriously, in a ramming attack near the Machaneh Yehudah market in central Yerushalayim on Monday afternoon.

A man, said to be in his 60s, is in very serious condition, while a woman, 30, is in moderate condition. They are both hospitalized in Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

The other victims were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, and are listed in light condition – two men in their 50s and another, 27 years of age.

The terrorist was identified as Hatem Nejima, a 39-year-old resident of Beit Safafa in East Yerushalayim. He was shot and killed by a civilian who was at the scene. He was a married father of five who was unknown to security forces, Army Radio reported.

The attack occurred on Kol Yisrael Chaveirim (Kiach) Street, next to Mercaz Klal and Davidka Square, near the junction with Jaffa Street.
