Gush Etzion Terrorist Attack Leaves Three Dead, Five Injured
A shooting and car ramming terrorist attack occurred in Gush Etzion at around 4:40 pm on Thursday, November 19, claiming the life of three men and injuring five more.
A Palestinian man who was driving a car shot at several vehicles that were standing in a traffic jam in Gush Etzion Junction, killing three men and injuring several others. He then continued driving and rammed his car into a group of people the nearby Alon Shvut Junction, injuring several more.
One of the men who was killed is an 18-year-old yeshiva student in Beit Shemesh, originally from the US. Five other US citizens who study in the same yeshiva were lightly wounded in the attack and were evacuated to Shaarei Tsedek hospital in Jerusalem, along with two shock victims.
Another fatality was a 50-year-old Israeli, who died from his wounds in Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem. Also killed was a 40-year-old Palestinian man, reportedly from a nearby village. They were all hit by the gunfire, in three separate cars.
The terrorist was neutralized and apprehended.
This is the second fatal terrorist attack in Israel on the same day. Earlier, at around 2:00 pm, a stabbing attack in southern Tel Aviv left two people dead. The attack took place in the synagogue of the Panorama building after traditional afternoon prayer services. It was reported that one of the murdered men was holding a Torah scroll.
