UPDATE: Police confirm Two dead in murder-suicide at UCLA , Campus now safe.
WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday investigated an active shooting incident on the UCLA campus in Westwood.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, two people have sustained gunshot injuries. An update on their conditions remains unclear at this time.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m., campus police sent out an alert notifying students and faculty of a possible “active shooter” in Boelter Hall located near the School of Engineering building.

The entire campus has been placed on lockdown.
According to the Daily Bruin, the shooter has been described as a Caucasian man who stands around 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
Officials have placed Fairburn Elementary School, Warner Elementary School and Emerson Community Charter Middle School on lockdown as a precaution due to police activity in the area, according to the Los Angeles School Police Department.
FBI and ATF agents are responding to assist with the investigation.
Authorities remain on a city-wide tactical alert at this time.
