Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust  hosted a delegation of Israeli soldiers from Hope for Heroism on Wednesday, January 29th. The soldiers, all of whom were injured in combat, ate lunch and engaged in intimate dialogue with Holocaust survivors Sol Berger, Regina Hirsch, and Gabriella Karin. The connection between the survivors and the soldiers was immediate and powerful. In the words of Hope For Heroism’s Yaniv Leidner, “The survivors… you are the reason that we are here. This is the highlight of our trip to L.A.”
