New Shabbat Kit program being delivered to Hospital patients – Video/Pictures

Jeremie & Michal Braun  recently started a new community program to providing Grape Juice, Candles, and Challah to Jewish patients at a local Hospital every Friday Before Shabbat. This week they have been able expand their campaignand reach over 50 patients with a goal of eventually being able to reach every Jewish patient in the Hospital.

This Thursday for the first time community members joined in and  helped prepare the Shabbos kits for the coming Friday. Chabad of Sola generously provided the location where all the volunteers  formed an assembly line to prepare and pack the Shabbat kits. Many children volunteers came as well and colored pictures for the patients as well.

They are currently looking for support from the local community to expand this program.

Currently the  costs include:
$50/week for Grape Juice bottles
$50/week for Challah Rolls
$4/candle set (which are reusable)
$2/packaging & labels

We are also looking for connections to vendors/distributors who might be willing to cost-share or donate — if you have any such ideas or contacts, please let me know.
