By Hana Levi Julian – 5 Tevet 5780 – January 1, 2020

Jewish leaders are calling for tri-state Jews, “our friends in the Black community” and friends and supporters in every other community as well for that matter to “come out and stand with us” in a solidarity march and rally this coming Sunday, January 5, to say “NO to Anti-Semitism.”

The event, organized as a response to the skyrocketing anti-Semitism in Jersey City, Monsey and Brooklyn, is intended to “send the message loud and clear that we are one,” tweeted ‘Americans Against Antisemitism’ founder Dov Hikind.

The poster that announces the upcoming event declares, “When anti-Semitism strikes our community, we stand up and stand together.

“This Sunday, we will march through our streets – proud, united, and strong.

“The 1.5 million Jews of our great city and region will not stand down. We will not be intimidated.”

In addition to Hikind’s group, the event is being sponsored by the UJA Federation New York, JCRC New York, ADL New York/New Jersey, AJC Global Jewish Advocacy, New York Board of Rabbis and Zioness.
