Record Drugs Haul at Ben Gurion Airport

Israeli Police and Customs agents intercepted 38 shipments of illegal drugs on their way into Israel Sunday, making it the largest seizure of illicit substances to take place at Ben Gurion Airport in a single day.

The various drugs were sent to Israel via international mailing services, and were discovered during an operation by the Customs Authority Canine Unit. The packages seized included Cocaine, MDMA, LSD and Mescaline, as well as various methamphetamines and other designer drugs. Cannabis seeds, cannabis oil and cannabis tea was also seized. The various substances originated mostly in Spain and the Netherlands.
