Security forces arrested 19 Palestinians overnight between Saturday and Sunday in Judea and Samaria, including 15 Hamas activists in Ramallah who received funding to promote the organization’s activities in the area.

The IDF Spokesman’s Unit said in a statement that the activists had been in contact with Khaled al-Din Hamed, a Hamas member from the Gaza Strip, as well as other senior members of Hamas. Operatives also confiscated a vehicle worth thousands of shekels, believed to be made available to group members for the purpose of terror activities.

Also overnight, security forces closed a printing press used by Hamas as a propaganda distribution center.

“These activities show the ongoing attempts by the Hamas terror organization from the Gaza Strip to initiate terror activity in Judea and Samaria,” the statement said. “The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act to prevent terrorist attempts in Judea and Samaria and particular  contacts with Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.”
