Three Separate Terrorist Attacks Within Hours Wound Six Israelis

Written by Michael Bachner/TPS on November 08, 2015

Two separate stabbing attacks and a car ramming attack occured in Israel during the morning and afternoon of Sunday, November 8, wounding at least six people.

The latest attack occured around 13:30 PM, when a 48-year-old Israeli man was stabbed in his stomach near the town of Alfei Menashe in Samaria, and was seriously wounded.

The victim, from the town of Emanuel, was stabbed by two terrorists through his car window near the Palestinian village of Nabi Ilyas. He escaped and continued driving until he reached a military checkpoint, where he received treatment and was evacuated to Meir hospital in Kfar Saba to undergo surgery.

Earlier, a 20-year-old Israeli security guard was stabbed and lightly wounded in his stomach by a female terrorist at around 11:00 AM. The attack occured at the entrance to the ultra-orthodox community of Beitar Ilit near Jerusalem.

Security video footage of the attack shows the terrorist approaching the security guard at the entrance to the town and giving her ID for inspection. She is then seen drawing a knife from her bag and stabbing him.

The wounded man was evacuated to Sha’arei Tsedek hospital in Jerusalem. The attacker, identified as 22-year-old Hilwa Aliyan from the village of Husan, was shot and wounded by her victim. She was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem in very serious condition.

An initial investigation indicates that she was planning to attack civilians at a bus stop in the town, and that a more large-scale attack was prevented by Beitar Ilit security.

Following the attack, the mayor of Beitar Ilit decided to suspend employment of Palestinian workers in the town until further notice.

Earlier in the day, a car ramming attack took place at a bus stop in Tapuach Junction, wounding four Israeli civilians, two of them seriously. In that incident the terrorist was shot and killed.
