Attempted Stabbing Attacks Thwarted In Judea and Samaria
Earlier this morning, an attempted stabbing attack in the Samaria region was thwarted when a female Palestinian was approaching pedestrians at Brigade Square with a knife. She was run over by former head of the Samaria Regional Council Gershon Mesika.
Soldiers nearby quickly arrived at the scene and shot the terrorist, effectively neutralizing her and leaving her in serious condition.
About an hour later, a Palestinian driver attempted to run over the pedestrians at the Kfar Adumim Junction, east of Jerusalem. When he failed, he took out a knife and tried to stab the pedestrians instead. The terrorist was killed by an armed civilian on the scene.
Magen David Adom said that it provided medical care to a 51-year-old man who was injured from the attack. The victim was transported to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus and was taken to the emergency room for medical treatment. He is sustaining light injuries in his hand.
