In response to Israel’s Operation Protective Edge, and amid grief over the kidnapping and murders of Naftali Fraenkel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrach, Hy”d, the Beth Jacob leadership consulted with American Friends of Magen David Adom, and decided to raise the funds necessary to sponsor a new advanced ambulance in Israel. The community responded expediently, and within two weeks, had raised $100,000 for this life-saving project. The ambulance was dedicated in a ceremony in Jacob’s Garden on Sunday, November 23, with about 50 people in attendance, and will be shipped to Israel to do its vital work. Ambulance is dedicated to the memory of our three boys, Naftali, Gilad, and Eyal z”l, Hy”d.
