Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard’s wife, who has breast cancer, was being treated at home for the virus but was evacuated to intensive care after her health deteriorated.
(January 30, 2022 / JNS) Esther Pollard, the wife of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, was rushed to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center on Saturday. She has been battling a case of COVID-19.
A statement by the Committee for Jonathan Pollard said that Esther, who has breast cancer, caught the virus two weeks ago and was being treated at home at the recommendation of her doctors. Her health deteriorated over the weekend and she was brought in for intensive care.
Her husband, Jonathan, has asked that the public pray for her speedy recovery: Esther Yocheved Bat Reisel Bracha.
A documentary about Jonathan Pollard’s arrest that will be broadcast on Wednesday on Israel’s Kan public television has brought his name back into the headlines in Israel. Pollard arrived in Israel a year ago from New York after former President Donald Trump ensured the commutation of his life sentence to the 30 years he had served.
