Health Ministry: Third man dies from West Nile fever, 74 hospitalized

The Health Ministry announces says a third person has died from West Nile fever, amid the biggest outbreak of the mosquito-transmitted disease in recent years.

A statement says the 61-year-old man who died in Beilinson Hospital was a cancer patient.

According to the ministry, 74 cases of the disease have been reported in Israel so far this year, twice as many as in 2017, and that 14 of those patients are in serious condition.
