IDF Taking Part in ‘Swift Response’ Joint Military Exercise

Swift Response, a joint military exercise headed by the United States Army’s Europe Command commenced on Monday. Some 2,300 soldiers from from seven allied and partner nations will take part in the exercise to be held at locations in Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
Participating militaries include the IDF, The US Army, the British Army, the Texas National Guard and militaries from Italiy, Poland and Portugal.
This is the first time the IDF is taking part in a large scale exercise put on by the American European Command outside of Israel, coming on the heels of the Juniper Cobra joint exercise, which took place in Israel throughout March, and saw thousands of soldiers from the IDF and the US Army simulating a scenario in which American troops are deployed in the Middle East while receiving aerial support from the IDF.
According to the US military, Swift Response is one of the premier military crisis response training events for multinational airborne forces in the world.
