Israeli Officer Fighting For Life Following Car Ramming Attack Near Hebron
A terrorist car ramming attack took place outside Hebron on Route 60 near the Palestinian city of Halhul around 4:00 PM on Wednesday November 4.
The terrorist, 23-year-old Palestinian Ibrahim Safchi from Hebron, struck two Israeli Border Policemen, who after being treated on the scene by Magen David Adom Paramedics at the scene, were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Karem Medical Center in Jerusalem.
One police officer, 20-years-old, is in critical condition and doctors are fighting for his life, according to the latest report from Hadassah hospital. He suffered a head wound, among other injuries. The second victim was lightly wounded.
According to a Magen David Adom spokesperson: “MDA paramedics in Jerusalem are treating one of the seriously injured victims at the scene. Both are being evacuated to Hadassah hospital.
The terrorist was neutralized shortly after the attack, the first to have been carried out on Wednesday.
A number of terrorist attacks have taken place along Route 60 and the Hebron area recently.
On Monday, November 4, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed three people in the central city of Rishon Lezion, knifing an 80-year-old grandmother in the back and wounding two others. In a separate attack on Monday, a 70-year-old Israeli man was stabbed by a 22-year-old Palestinian in Netanya.
