Stabbing Attack in Hebron; Victim Fighting For His Life
A stabbing attack took place in Hebron shortly before 4:00 PM on Monday, December 7.
A knife wielding Palestinian terrorist attacked and critically wounded a well known Jewish resident of Kiryat Arba who was waiting at a transport station next to a checkpoint near the Cave of the Patriarchs. The terrorist was subsequently neutralized and killed.
The 40-year-old victim sustained multiple stab wounds in his chest and was evacuated to Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem by Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics. He arrived at the hospital in critical condition, unconscious and resuscitated, and is currently fighting for his life.
MDA paramedic Zaki Yahav said: “When we arrived at the scene we saw a man of around 40 years old lying, on the verge of unconsciousness, with multiple stab wounds in his upper body and in serious condition. We immediately put him on an intensive care ambulance with the goal of getting him quickly to hospital, while giving him life saving treatment: stopping the bleeding, administering fluids and giving medications.”
The terrorist, who has not yet been identified, was shot and killed by nearby security forces, preventing further casualties.
