Stabbing Prevented: Three Palestinians Caught With Knives in an Israeli City
Afula (TPS) – A potential stabbing attack in northern Israel was prevented by the police on the evening of Wednesday, December 9, when three knife-wielding Palestinians wandering around an Israeli city were caught and arrested.
Around 10:00 PM, Israeli citizens in the city of Afula reported three suspects who were walking in Arlozorov Street. According to the police, the description was detailed and accurate and included clothing items worn by the suspects.
After searching for a few minutes, police forces identified three young men who matched the description walking in a nearby street. When the forces approached them, one of the men threw aside a large object which was immediately caught and found to be a large butcher knife.
Two more concealed knives were discovered in the posession of the two other men. The three knives are identicle with a 23cm long blade.
The three men were immediately arrested. Two of them are minors and the third an adult, with all three residing in the Palestinian city of Jenin.
They were taken for questioning to determine their intention, and to identify them since they were not carrying identification documents.
