45,000 people from Israel and from around the world gathered for an uplifting Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah in Chevron; Chabad hosted 6,000 in 3 huge tents.
45,000 people from Israel and from around the world gathered for Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah in Chevron, near the Mearas Hamachpela.
Security for the thousands of visitors was provided by IDF forces, Border Police and police.
Shluchim of Chabad of Hebron and Kiryat Arba, Rabbi Danny Cohen, Rabbi Itzik Neimark, Rabbi Mordechai Hellinger, and Rabbi Yoni Atia, set up huge tents where they hosted 3 lavish meals for 6,200 people.
Chabad hosted and cared for the guests, providing materially and spiritually for their needs.
During Shabbos, thousands of visitors prayed and visited inside the cave, and the Yitzchak Hall, specially opened for the occasion. 200 Chabad yeshiva bochurim assisted the Shluchim, and helped during meals and prayers.
After Shabbos, a mass Havdalah ceremony was held in the ‘Avraham and Sarah Tent’ with music and dancing.
