Baby delivered in wake of Ofra terrorist attack dies
The baby boy delivered by emergency c-section on Sunday night, after his mother was critically wounded in a terrorist attack, has died, Shaare Zedek Hospital confirmed on Wednesday night.
Shira Ish-Ron gave birth to her baby at 30 weeks after she was critically wounded in a terrorist attack at the Ofra Junction on Sunday night in which seven people were injured.
Her husband Amichai Ish-Ron was also among the wounded.
Shaare Zedek Hospital said in a statement that despite doctors efforts to save the baby boy over the last four days, he died on Wednesday evening.
Shira remains in serious but stable condition. Her condition is improving.
