The Jewish ritual bath is near the Hungarian Parliament building.

A new mikvah, or Jewish ritual bath, opened in Budapest in the Chabad-affiliated Zsilip community center, which also contains a synagogue, children’s play space, coffee shop, library and other amenities.

“This is an important testimony to the revival of the Jewish community in Budapest,” Shlomó Köves, chief rabbi of Unified Hungarian Jewish Congregation (EMIH), stated in a release of the city’s second mikvah.

The mikvah is in a neighborhood that is among the country’s most heavily Jewish.
