Netanyahu, Gantz order Border Police battalions sent to riot-torn Lod.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz have ordered battalions of Border Police to Lod in central Israel which has seen massive riots by Arab residents over the last 24 hours.
The move comes after the mayor of Lod requested assistance from the military to quell the violence.

Gantz’s office says the border guards will be sent to Lod immediately.
