Hasmonean High School for Boys received an unusual and prestigious request last week. Rishon LeTzion Harav Yitzchak Yosef, shlita, would be staying at Windsor Castle for a few days, as a guest of King Charles III and needed some help in making up a minyan.

Forty members of Hasmoneans’ staff and students took it in turns to travel to Windsor to fulfill the request. They were privileged to go beyond the outer wall of the castle, behind the scenes, to daven with the esteemed visitor. Students from Years 9 and 10 and members of the Sixth Form leadership team were selected to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Rabbi Jeremy Golker, Menahel of Hasmonean said, “It was a real privilege and wonderful experience for the boys to daven and hear shiurim from Harav Yosef, and to be invited to a place of such significance and history.”
