In a deeply emotional and harrowing experience, MKs and ministers gathered on Wednesday afternoon to view uncensored footage of the horrific Hamas massacre that occurred on Oct. 7. The footage was captured on the helmet camera of a Hamas terrorist and was being shown for the first time to the MKs.
Moved by the gravity of the content, every MK entering the screening room made the decision to leave their phones outside, and most found it exceedingly challenging to sit through the entire screening.
Simultaneously, there was an overwhelming consensus that this footage must be shared with parliamentarians around the world, highlighting the urgent need for global awareness.
As MKs left the room, many were visibly overwhelmed with grief, some even reduced to tears, while others required medical assistance to cope with the emotional toll inflicted by the terrorists’ inhumane actions.
MK Michal Woldiger passionately declared, “They are Amalek, and we need to erase them. We must wipe them from the face of the earth because there is not a single ounce of humanity left in what they did.”
She continued, “We witnessed the unspeakable: burned babies, charred elderly, and scorched women.”
Footage captured after the screening revealed MKs standing in the hallways, tears streaming down their faces, seeking solace and comfort from one another in the face of such heart-wrenching atrocities.
Even Interior Minister Moshe Arbel (Shas), who initially attempted to endure the screening, admitted, “I could not bear to stay until the end. The images were too painful, despite my best efforts.”
