Jerusalem, 28 March, 2022 (TPS) — In an unusual move, the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Hadera on Sunday night carried out by two Islamists that ended with two Israeli dead, reinforcing the impression that it was a pre-planned attack. Furthermore, the number of weapons carried by the terrorists, and the videos taken by the two prior to the attack, indicate preparations.

The ISIS statement said that the perpetrators of the attack were “planted” and “sleepers” before they went into action.

Following the praise for the attack on behalf of Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terror factions, Hezbollah joined in congratulating the “heroic attack.”

A Hezbollah statement on the Al-Manar website said that “the shooting operation in Hadera proves the strength of the Palestinian people and their desire to deal with the Israeli occupation, and is a response to the normalization meetings held by some Arab regimes with the Israeli occupation.”

Six foreign ministers participated in the historic Negev Summit: Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco Nasser Bourita, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Sameh Shoukry, the direct outcome of the Abraham Accords.

Spokesmen for the terror organizations said on social media that “the action is revenge for the summit of shame’ in the Negev and for the crimes of the Zionists.”

The spokesman of the Ansar Allah movement from Yemen, Muhammad ‘Abd al-Salam, stated: “We welcome the heroic operation in Hadera, which is a response to the treacherous path and normalization with the Zionist occupier.”

On the other hand, the mayor of the Arab city of Umm al-Fahm in northern Israel from which the terrorists came, condemned the deadly attack and said in an interview that he is “in contact with the mayor of Hadera and the head of the Menashe Regional Council and we intend to hold a joint meeting between all mayors in the area, we are here to live together.”

The recent exposure of Hamas’ terrorist cells and those of the Islamic Jihad in Samaria and near Jerusalem, and Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades joining the armed struggle, also indicate a deterioration in the security situation.
