Hundreds of families that attended Emek’s 8th annual Family Fun Day had a day full of fun, excitement and activities.
Over 20 rides, games and attractions were spread over the Emek Hebrew Academy Teichman Family Torah Center’s five and a half acre campus with something special for every age. There were carnival rides of every size, deliciously sticky cotton candy, many different game booths and even a three story high slide. Participants got a kick out of the stilt walker giving out balloons to the children, and the carnival simcha atmosphere had everyone in a great mood.
“It was really nice to see families from many different Jewish neighborhoods throughout the LA area,” said Rabbi Moshe Tropper, Emek’s Director of Family Programs and organizer of the event. “This is a great opportunity for the greater Los Angeles community to see what Emek is all about, and interact with our parents, students and faculty.”
The event was divided into a number of different pavilion type centers, with one of the most popular the vast Lego and Hot Wheels center where children could play with a large number of these popular toy sets. BBQ lunch was also available provided by Schnitz Burger, a local meat restaurant located on Burbank Ave in Valley Village. The excitement was topped off with an unbelievable live acrobatic slam dunk show performed by the TNT Dunk Squad.
