IDF Raids in Judea and Samaria: 15 Arrested, Weapons Workshop Seized
The IDF and security forces arrested 15 individuals wanted for terrorism and rioting in Judea and Samaria. All suspects were taken for questioning.
Troops from the Ephraim Regional Brigade and Border Police overnight also raided and sealed off a grocery store in the Palestinian town of Rantis, northwest of Ramallah, which served as a regular rendezvous point for the planning of terrorist attacks.
In Hebron, IDF forces in cooperation with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Border Police shut down a weapons manufacturing lab that contained two weapons-manufacturing machines. A total of 43 such makeshift factories were raided in 2016 and more than 450 weapons were seized while more than 20 weapons labs have been raided and more than 150 weapons have been confiscated since the beginning of 2017.
In addition, security forces seized two pipe bombs that were ready for use and two others that were in the process of being made along with an improvised Carl Gustav weapon in the Tulkarm refugee camp in northwestern Judea and Samaria. Two residents of the refugee camp in their twenties were arrested and taken for questioning.
