Jerusalem, 19 December, 2021 (TPS) — Israel’s combined security forces captured on Saturday night the terror cell that carried out the shooting attack on Thursday night in northern Samaria in which Yehuda Dimentman was murdered and two other Israelis were injured.

The Shin Bet Security service stated Sunday morning that following an “operational and intelligence activity” by the Israeli Security Agency, IDF and the Yamam special anti-terrorism unit of the Israel Police that was carried out overnight in the village of Silat al-Harithiya, four suspects have been detained on their involvement in the recent murder of Dimentman near Homesh.

Other reports indicate that seven suspects were arrested in connection with the attack, including the two shooters and another five who supported the attack.

“In the framework of the field investigation, the suspected weapon used to carry out the terror attack was seized,” the Shin Bet said.

The suspects have been transferred for further investigation by the Shin Bet.

The Islamic Jihad terror organization took responsibility for the attack and said it was carried in response to the killing of one of its operatives by Israeli forces in Shechem (Nablus) last week.

“The security forces will continue until justice is served for those involved in acts of terror,” the Shin Bet stated.

Dimentman, 25 and a father of a baby, was laid to rest in Jerusalem on Friday.
