(Reuters) — The Kremlin on Tuesday said it wanted skilled workers now based abroad to return to Russia and continue working to benefit the country, after hundreds of thousands of people fled abroad in the past year due to the conflict in Ukraine.

One of Russia’s richest tycoons on Monday called on the authorities to tolerate rather than punish workers, particularly those in the IT sector now overseas, arguing that the country needs their brain power.
