The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, based in Saudi Arabia and consisting of 57 member states, rejected Trump administration’s Middle East plan on Monday, according to Reuters.
The pan-Islamic body, which represents more than 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, “rejects this US-Israeli plan, as it does not meet the minimum aspirations and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and contradicts the terms of reference of the peace process,” it said in a statement.
The OIC added that it calls on “all member states not to engage with this plan or to cooperate with the U.S. administration in implementing it in any form.”
