The Prince of Wales has invited a selection of Jewish representatives to Buckingham Palace in December for an event to celebrate the contribution of the community.

Board of Deputies’ president Marie van der Zyl said: “We are very grateful to HRH The Prince of Wales for staging this wonderful event to pay tribute to the enormous contribution the Jewish community has made to the United Kingdom over many years.”

Last year Prince Charles attended the Jewish community’s celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel at the Royal Albert Hall, the latest in a long list of events showcasing his deep relations with British Jews.

In recent years he has given a tea for friends of World Jewish Relief’s Ukraine development programme, visited Jewish residents at a Nightingale care home, and opened the refurbished Jewish Museum in Camden.
