In other Shtisel-related news, actress Shira Haas — who missed out on a Golden Globe award Sunday for her role in another international hit about Haredim on Netflix, “Unorthodox” — will star in a drama series about the life of Golda Meir, executive produced by Barbra Streisand with MGM.

The series is based on France Klagsbrun’s non-fiction book, “Lioness: Golda Meir and the Nation of Israel,” chronicling the life and career of Meir, from her birth in Kyiv to her American upbringing in Milwaukee, to her role in the formation of Israel and rise to become Israel’s first and only female prime minister.
