Two IDF soldiers were injured in an explosion near the Israeli-Lebanon border. In response to the attack the IDF fired artillery towards two Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Despite the constant tension along the northern border, this is one of the most serious incidents in recent months.

The explosion was allegedly caused by an explosive device planted alongside the border with the intent to attack IDF soldiers. The injured soldiers received initial medical care before being transported to a hospital.

The IDF responded to this unprovoked aggregation by firing artillery towards two Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. A second explosive device was detonated later on. IDF forces remain committed and prepared to handle any threat and continue to insure the safety of Israel’s northern border.
