A survivor of the mob attack on five American Jews recounted the harrowing ordeal Thursday evening. “They were screaming ‘Jew, Jew, Jew,” he said. The Jews wanted to pray at the Cave of Machpela but thesatellite navigation system landed them in an area controlled by Arabs.
They were attacked by a mob that threw firebombs and rocks at them, theIDF and police spokesman said.
A local Arab took them into his home, where they awaited rescue by theIDF.

Forces from the Hevron District police and Judea and Samaria police, assisted by an IDF force, entered the neighborhood and rescued them.
Two of the men are in moderate to light condition. They have been taken to receive medical attention.
