Los Angeles – ETTA is pleased to announce that the organization has hired its first Director of Development, Jane A. Zuckerman, previously Executive Director of Temple Israel Hollywood, Director of Resource Development for Temple Beth Am and Development Director for SOVA Community Food and Resource Program of Jewish Family Service, Los Angeles.

“ETTA is a vital agency to our city – no one else provides the range and type of services they do for our Jewish population,” says Ms. Zuckerman. “I am very excited to be a part of this team and help the organization grow.”

Ms. Zuckerman’s extensive record of success with many high-profile Jewish organizations is a perfect complement to ETTA’s reputation as a premier provider for special needs services to Jews in Los Angeles, and to ETTA’s aggressive growth plan to meet the community’s needs over the next seven years as part of its “200 by 2020” plan (to house, or support in various housing arrangements, 200 individuals with disabilities by the year 2020).

ETTA, which merged with OHEL Children’s and Family Services last year, also provides many other services to support people with special needs: life skills training, job coaching, social events, a day program, a summer program, and educational programs. The vision of ETTA is an inclusive, participatory community of people with and without special needs, succeeding and growing together.

Ms. Zuckerman’s main areas of responsibility will be resource development, strategic planning, and related marketing. Key objectives are designing multi-year development campaigns and maximizing ETTA’s visibility in the greater Los Angeles community.

Ms. Zuckerman earned a Master’s of Science in administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and a Bachelor of Arts in education from CSU-LA. Jane is a sustaining member of Jewish Communal Professionals of Southern California, Board Member of Menorah Housing and participant in JVSLA’s WOmentoring Program.  She and her husband, Jack, reside in Sherman Oaks and are proud parents of two adult children and two grandchildren

“With Jane on board, ETTA has gained an exceptionally talented and experienced professional who will propel our growth going forward,” says Dr. Michael Held, Executive Director of ETTA. “We are excited to provide more and more services, to more and more people with disabilities, in the coming years.”
