The Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading Jewish Human Rights NGO called on US Congress to denounce today’s posting by Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah of the cover of a classic Nazi anti-Semitic book on their official Facebook and Twitter sites. (see photos below)

“Yesterday, Palestinian Authority President Abbas stood before the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva to demand from the international community to take steps to immediately protect Palestinians; but the very next day the organization, which he is president of, Fatah, resurrects Nazi ideology and propaganda by posting a Nazi-era book that attacks all Jews.

It is time for Congress to begin the process to stop all financial aid to the PA. The American people are under no obligation to be partial paymasters of ‘leaders’ who are cheerleaders for anti-Semitism, violence and terrorism,” charge Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, Founder and Dean and Associate Dean of the Center, respectively.

“The book, Trust No Fox on his Green Heath And No Jew on his Oath, that the Wiesenthal Center has in its archives, was used by Nazi teachers to inculcate German children with visceral hatred and lies about their Jewish neighbors. The hate those books transmitted to children in the 1930s, helped set the stage for the genocidal mass murder of 6 million Jews, including 1.5 million Jewish children, in the Holocaust in the 1940s,” they added.

“We have officially asked Facebook and Twitter to scrub this Nazi hate from their services but more must be done at a time when young Palestinians are responding to social media-fueled incitement from the Palestinian Authority and Hamas and continue to try to murder their Jewish neighbors,” Center officials concluded.
