The new “Horizon 10? observation satellite is radar based, and has advanced capabilities for photography during daylight, at night and in any weather conditions. The satellite was carried into space by a Shavit (“Comet”) launch vehicle from the center of the country.

The Defense Ministry and Israeli Aircraft Industries (AIA) successfully launched an observation satellite into orbit on Wednesday night (09/04/2014).

“Horizon 10” is a radar-based observation satellite, with advanced photography capabilities during daylight, at night and in any weather conditions. The launch was jointly carried out by IAI and the Defense Ministry’s Space Administration, which is a part of the Administration for the Development of Weapons and Technological Infrastructure.

The “Horizon 10” has entered orbit and begun to transmit data to the control center. The satellite underwent a series of tests, verifying that key functions are working correctly. Engineers from the IAI and the Defense Ministry will continue to carry out tests on the satellite until it is fully operational.

Freeing Yourself from Bondage; Pre-Passover Workshop (2)

FREEING YOURSELF FROM BONDAGE
Pre-Passover Workshop (2)

Why is Passover such an important holiday? Why is it relevant to our modern lives today? Why is the exodus from Egypt the cornerstone of so many mitzvot and traditions? The answer is one word: Transcendence. The greatest challenge we all face in one way or another is struggling with our demons — our fears, insecurities, inhibitions, guilt, shame and every type of limitation that hampers and impedes our ability to reach for the sky and fulfill our aspirations and dreams. Passover is a most vital holiday precisely because it addresses the biggest issue of our lives: How to free ourselves from every form of personal and collective bondage?

What does a healthy psyche look like? How does a healthy mind, heart and spirit behave? What type of person would you have been, how high would have flown, were it not for the influences and factors that shaped and jaded your life? How different would you have been without your fears and insecurities? Wouldn’t it be great if we were able to get an x-ray of our souls? If we were able to contrast our current lives — and all the constraints it imposes on us — with the template of our quintessential personalities, as they were upon birth? Like juxtaposing an imperfect or distorted circle over a perfect one, or infected lungs over healthy ones, we would get a picture in perspective of our present situation as compared to our possibilities; our actuality in context of our potential. Imagine if you were able to access your core soul, which can fly free like an eagle, rather then have to contend with the forces that drag you down and impede your flight…

This is exactly what the Passover Seder is about: Offering us a snapshot of our psyches and souls and empowering us with wings for our souls to take flight, the Seder leads us through a 15-step process, which can be coined the first ever therapeutic model.

Please join Rabbi Jacobson in this fascinating Pre-Passover Workshop Part 2, showing us how to turn the Passover Seder into an exhilarating guiding journey into our inner workings, and come away looking at ourselves and our relationships in a completely new way. Discover the 3326 year old secret of freeing ourselves from our inner fears and inhibitions, and achieving transcendence.

LYRICS:

Radioactive

I’m sweeping up, dirt and dust
I wipe my stovetop and scrub the rust
I’m breathing in cleaning chemicals

Glass cleaners, and degreasers, detergents, and lime removers
This is it, Erev Pesach
Whoa

I’m cleaning up, I’m cleaning up my home
Floors covered in soapy foam
So many detergents, disinfectants
All these cleaning agents, have made my kitchen
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, oh, radioactive, radioactive

TTO: Happy

I might seem crazy when I clean my place
Passover’s here, can’t make no mistakes
Mama vacuumed the room more than outer space
Bread nowhere, no chametz there, get the seder plate

Because I’m happy
Clap along if you cleaned with a broom up top yo roof
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you cleaned every cavity in yo tooth
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you know how much chametz is in yo shoe
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like a true Passover Jew

TTO: Heart Attack

Pushin’ off the second cup
Cuz I don’t understand this stuff
Glad the oldest goes last
I think I have some questions, Dad

Never ate a matzah till tonight
Something ’bout these veggies don’t taste right
Never dipped my food, not even once
But suddenly tonight, you tell me dip it twice

Not that I care
When I’m reclining like a rag doll
Just don’t understand
Why are we doing all these rituals?

First you search for bread and burn it all
Bitter herbs bring mom to tears
Then you, sit around and do

Things I just can’t understand
You tell me
Hoooold on
But I just can’t wait
Won’t let it gooooo
So I’m…

Pushin’ off the second cup
Cuz I don’t understand this stuff
Glad the oldest goes last
I think I have some questions, Dad
Ma nishtana halayla hazeh
I think I have some questions Dad

TTO: Royals

I’ve never seen such blisters on my flesh
All red and itchy and they sting, and they’re oozing
And I’m not proud of my splotchy chest
And my torn up skin, from all that scratching

But we’ve already had blood, and frogs, had me tripping in the bathroom
Lice and animals which trashed up my living room
He don’t care, Paroah’s holding on to all the Jews
But Moshe’s asking him to let them go, let them worship in the desert
Just a few days, they’ll be back before you know it
He don’t care, though the pestilence gave him a scare

And now we’re covered in Boils (Boils)
Never thought I’d miss drinking blood

But all this itching just ain’t for us
I’m buying cortizone by the tub

I think we need a new ruler (ruler)
One who might let the Jews leave
Cuz boils ain’t cool, ain’t cool, ain’t cool
And they itch substantially

TTO: Wrecking Ball

I want to eat a matza ball
Plain chicken soup is not enough
But we don’t eat gebrochts at all
And it’s making me so…. hungry
Yeah, so very,…. hungry

TTO: Get Lucky
We’ve come this far, to stay up for Nirtzah
So raise the fourth cup, before I start to nod off

We’re up all night for Nirtzah
Stayed up to sing Chad Gadya
And Echad Mi Yodeah
And after that, we’ll go shluffy
